Scapolite has been a collectors stone for a long time, but is usually only found in cabochon grade stones. Often with a cat's eye phenomenon. Recently, some very nice faceted specimens have made their way onto the market and this is one such example.
Color is a deep plum/purple with the color lightening at the center and becoming more reddish towards each end for a beautiful dichroic effect.
