About the ring: This is a wax carved ring which I then used to sand cast the ring as a solid pour. The gold prongs where then added by soldering in short sections of solid 10k gold wire. I gave the ring an oxidized and lightly buffed finish to showcase the rugged rock like texture. The inside is polished to a mirror finish. Edges are all rounded for comfort. I have a peek-a-boo hole cut behind the stone to show off the fire on the backside of the opal.
About the opal: The opal is a natural Australian opal. It has a solid white base. The pictures show that when viewing straight on, you'll see a mostly classic white stone, with faint color play. When viewed at certain angles, the entire face of the stone flashes with red. this opal does not have any chips, cracks or crazing and is quite thick.
This ring is one of a kind and ready to ship. You'll receive the exact ring pictured.
