A stunning piece of mother nature, carefully cut and polished to perfection and now showcased in this one of a kind custom made piece! the opal and diamond compliment each other very well with the yellow gold. the diamond I selected for this project is a J/K color range giving it an ever so slightly off white hue, that plays well with the greens, oranges and reds that dance across the opal.
The setting is a hollow-form style pendant with heavy influence from the Art Deco peridot in geometric lines and radiating scrollwork. Both the diamond and opal are set from behind to give them an illusion of being flush set.
This is a natural "jelly" opal. It is not hydrophane and is just about the most stunning clear jelly opal I've seen. The base color is totally transparent with a brilliant wash of fire that dances through the entire stone in both indoor and outdoor light. In the sun, the opal bursts into a fiery display of vivid colors.
